FindMyBaller values the protection of your personal data. This policy describes how we collect, use and protect your data, in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Data controller
The data controller is the publisher of FindMyBaller, a private individual acting on a non-professional and non-profit basis (see Legal Notice). The site collects no personal data and keeps no user database. For any question, contact us via the Contact page.
2. Data collected
The quiz runs entirely in your browser and its result is kept only locally, in your browser's storage (localStorage). Your preferences (language, theme) also stay on your device, and the site uses no tracking cookies or advertising trackers. For audience-measurement purposes, only strictly anonymous, aggregated statistics are kept server-side: number of visits, number of completed quizzes, and revealed players. No personal data is recorded — in particular, your IP address is never stored: it is used only, in an anonymized and non-retained form, to estimate the number of unique visitors.
3. Processing purposes
As no personal data is collected, the site carries out no processing for profiling or commercial purposes. The only information used (quiz result, language, theme) serves solely to run the quiz and remember your preferences on your own device.
4. Legal basis
As the quiz processes no personal data, no legal basis under the GDPR is required for it to work. The anonymous, aggregated audience measurement (with no cookie or identifier, and without retaining the IP address) relies on the publisher's legitimate interest in knowing the site's traffic; it allows neither profiling nor re-identification.
5. Retention periods
Your quiz result and preferences (language, theme) remain in your browser's local storage until you clear them (browser settings). The audience statistics kept server-side are anonymous and aggregated (visit and quiz counters, revealed players), contain no personal data, and their daily counters are automatically purged after about 13 months.
6. Recipients and processors
The site is hosted by Vercel Inc. (application hosting) and uses Upstash (a Redis database) to keep the reports you send us as well as strictly anonymous audience statistics. No personal data is shared with third parties, sold, or used for commercial purposes.
7. Your rights
As the site holds no personal data about you, there is no record on our side to access, correct, export or delete. You remain in control of the information stored locally at all times: you can erase it by clearing your browser's storage and cookies. For any question, contact us via the Contact page.
8. Cookies
The site uses no tracking, advertising or analytics cookies, and therefore shows no consent banner: traffic measurement is carried out with no cookie or identifier whatsoever. Only your preferences (language, theme) may be saved locally in your browser; you can clear them at any time via your browser settings.
9. Security
Exchanges with the site are encrypted (HTTPS/TLS). As the site stores no personal data on a server, your exposure is minimal. As this is a personal project, no measure can however guarantee absolute security.
